Alfaro Family Santa Cruz Mtns Sparkling Chardonnay Trout Gulch Vyd 2024 champagne-club glycerol-richA sparkling Chardonnay from Trout Gulch, the old vineyard near Aptos that Richard Alfaro has farmed for over fifteen years and that supplies some of the Santa Cruz Mountains' most distinctive Chardonnay. Picked early to preserve acidity, the wine has the cool climate cut and green apple snap you want from a sparkler but with a real sense of place. It's a useful house bubbly: dry, salty, and food friendly without the price tag of Champagne.
